WELCOME TO THE BAUMANNHOF IN THE SARNTAL VALLEY A natural paradise not far from Bozen, where history lives and nature gives peace. For centuries, the Teutonic Order has stood for hospitality, care and the common good. Our Baumannhof is also part of this heritage. It was carefully relocated from the old village centre of Sarnthein, rebuilt and embedded in the surrounding nature. From June 2025, the doors to lovingly designed apartments will open here: a place to arrive, take a deep breath and feel good. In the future, the Baumannhof will also be used for agricultural purposes: There are plans to grow and process vegetables to supply the facilities of the Teutonic Order in South Tyrol as well as a small farm shop for locals and guests.

About the region

In Bolzano/Bozen and environs, different worlds collide. The historical centre welcomes you with winding alleys, open squares and cafés, where you can enjoy a break with a view of the Dolomites. The Italian and German ways of life have coexisted here for centuries: you can see them in the architecture, you can hear them in the language, and you can taste them in the dishes. From the bottom of the valley, you can ascend by cable car to remarkable places such as the earth pyramids of Ritten/Renon. In the villages of the Sarntal/Val Sarentino, traditions are still alive, while along the Wine Route, the landscape becomes more Mediterranean. Castles, lakes, museums: there is plenty to discover in Bolzano.
