Hotel description
Welcome to the “Sun Castle”! This is the literal translation of our house’s name, “Sonnenburg”, which is, by name and by nature, surrounded by a very sunny place above San Cassiano village in Alta Badia. From here there is a unique view, with a breathtaking glimpse on La Varella and Conturines, the two Dolomites mountains over 3,000 metres located in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies natural park near our house, as well as on the famous Piz La Ila, Piz Sorega and Gadenaccia, the mountain group of the Puez Odle natural park. San Cassiano centre is 1.3 km far from all this, and it can be easily and quickly reached. In winter, the Piz Sorega and Armentarola ski lift systems are located at only 700 metres. Ski lovers find the Centro Fondo Alta Badia (centre for cross-country skiing) at 2 km. Our structure offers all comforts, such as private partially covered parking, a big and quiet garden with barbecue, plays for children, sun loungers and deckchairs to relax while enjoying the beauties of these places. Bike lovers can use our bike deposit, as well as our ski deposit in winter. “Sonnenburg” flats in San Cassiano are the ideal place to spend an holiday surrounded by nature, thanks to the forests, the meadows and the Dolomites - UNESCO World Heritage. Romana and Roman Ploner wish you a good stay!
