Christmas as it used to be The Mountain Advent in Trodena brings back the true spirit of Christmas: alpine traditions, ancient customs, and moments of reflection. Far from the hustle and bustle, the winding alleys and old cellars of the village center turn into a magical Advent setting: the market with a petting zoo, handmade crafts, traditional skills, and Grandpa’s Christmas workshop. Highlights also include the Krampus parade and concerts in the village church. In December 2025, the beloved Advent market will once again enchant visitors in the picturesque alleys and rustic cellars of Trodena.

Pre-Christmas Events in Terento. We want to bring children, families and guests closer to rural culture and traditions on the topic of Christmas. The trail leads from the decorated village centre to the town hall with cookie baking for children, to the crib exhibition and to the Christmas market. Handicraft products are offered at different stalls on the playground. The Christmas experience continues along the trail lit by torchlights and candlelight with special light effects to the "Stockner Waldile" forest, where rural specialities are offered in traditional huts. Fairytales and stories for children are told around the campfire in front of a big Christmas crib and a petting zoo. Advent market with natural products from the Ritten and traditional rural crafts in the park of the Ritten Middle School/Station in Klobenstein, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Festive atmosphere is provided by the Ritten alphorn players, along with culinary treats and seasonal hot drinks. Once again this year, there will be a lucky draw with a great main prize. All proceeds will be donated to charity. For our young visitors, fragrant baked apples, crispy stick bread, and a lovingly arranged petting zoo await

On the second Sunday in Advent, the House of the village community in Gummer is transformed into an atmospheric Christmas market. The traditional market offers a warm atmosphere, lovingly designed stands and a diverse range of handmade products, delicious treats and festive decorations.

During the Advent time there is a pre-Christmas atmosphere in Silandro. On the weekend mid December the annual Christmas market takes place. Venosta hobby artists and craftsmen as well as local and Italian producers offer handmade gift ideas, traditional crafts and local products. The romantic weekend in the heart of Silandro is surrounded by Christmas sounds. In the shops you will find special offers and the restaurants spoil you with traditional and local delicacies.

Look forward to the impressive marble exhibition by Grassl Bernhard with pictures and sculptures made of fine Göflan marble, music, readings, children's programmes, Advent devotions and a lovingly designed Advent market.
