Biking & Cycling Tours in South Tyrol
Over 600 km of diverse cycle paths invite you to explore South Tyrol. Northern Italy offers everything that a cyclist could ever want. The Dolomites and the Val Venosta/Vinschgau valley are especially ideal for mountain biking, featuring a high concentration of sign-posted trails. With less cumulative elevation gain and therefore more comfortable riding, valley cycle paths are just as much fun. The Via Claudia Augusta cycle path that extends from the Reschen Pass through the Etschtal valley and onward through Italy is popular, as is the Drau River cycle path from Dobbiaco/Toblach to Lienz in East Tyrol. The combination of bike and train in South Tyrol is highly recommended and completing a stretch by train is easy for many bike tours.
