Women's Museum

The women's museum describes the history of women by means of clothes and fashion, accessories and everyday objects. Selected articles of clothing and curious implements act as a mirror of society from the past until today. There are special exhibitions and events specific to women that examine the topic of female ideals and roles. There is also a specialist library. The Women's Museum of Merano was founded by Evelyn Ortner (1944-1997) in 1988; today it is led by the association "Women's Museum". We are looking forward to experiencing always new and creative forms of collaboration with you!
