To South Tyrol by air
South Tyrol’s only airport is located in the southern outskirts of Bolzano/Bozen. Beyond South Tyrol the nearest international airports are in Innsbruck in the north and Verona in the south. The other airports Bergamo, Treviso, Venice and Munich are over 200 km away (or four hours by rail).
Bolzano airport
South Tyrol’s airport ‘Bolzano/Bozen Dolomites’ is located on the southern outskirts of the town. In summer 2011 there are scheduled flights from Rome and Olbia, as well as charter flights to other Italian destinations and Croatia.

Innsbruck airport
Innsbruck airport (INN), Austria, is 100 km (63 miles) from Bolzano and can be reached by rail in approx. 1,5 hours. The bus F connects Innsbruck railway station and the airport (journey time around 20 minutes). Each Saturday there is an additional comfortable service using the low-cost airport transfer buses.
easyJet (www.easyjet.com; 08717 500 100) flies to Innsbruck from London Gatwick (10 December to 26 March 2011), Bristol (Fridays and Sundays between 17 December and 25 March 2011) and Liverpool (Thursdays and Sundays between 19 December and 24 March) with prices from £37.99 one-way (incl. taxes).
Verona airport
Verona/Valerio Catullo airport (VRN) is 145 km (90 miles) from Bolzano/Bozen and can be reached by rail in approx. 2 hours. Served by bus transfers.
British Airways (www.ba.com, 0844 493 0787) flies twice a day from London Gatwick to Verona from just £97 return including taxes, fees and charges. From 1 November 2010 on, Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) will operate to Verona Valerio Catullo from Stansted on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Milan Bergamo/Orio al Serio airport (BGY) is 230 km (140 miles) from Bolzano and can be reached by rail in approx. 4 hours. Matching bus transfers to the following flights here.
