South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology
The South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology has been dedicated to the special exhibition Ötzi20 since the 20th anniversary of the discovery of the Iceman in 2011. The exhibition has been extended by a year to 13 January 2013 by popular demand. During this period the museum will be displaying the entire range of the Ötzi phenomenon on four floors, including the media hype surrounding the discovery, research into the ice mummy and its artefacts, all manner of quirky information, exciting interviews and interactive features. The highlight of the exhibition is the lifelike reconstruction of Ötzi. For further information go to: www.oetzi20.it
From January 2013, in addition to the Ötzi theme, the museum will be presenting a special exhibition on South Tyrolean archaeology. This exhibition will change every year.
