Ötzi 20 years on: Special exhibition extended

The special exhibition "Ötzi 20 years on" dedicated to the famous iceman, is extendet until 13th January 2013..

The South Tyrolean Archaeological Museum is dedicating itself completely to its most famous inhabitant, the 5,300 year-old ‘Man from the Glacier’ until 13th January 2013.

Since his discovery 20 years ago countless researchers, journalists, artists, mystics and tourism professionals have occupied themselves with the mummy from the glacier. Their discoveries have given life to some extremely exciting, though also bizarre conjectures, publications and products, all of which will be explored in this special exhibition. The entire museum will be cleared for this special exhibition with a space of 1,200 m² dedicated to subjects such as the latest results of genetic research, the most absurd media reports, comical theories, marketing ideas and other aspects of the ‘Ötzi Cosmos’.

More on the Archaeological Museum and conditions for tourism professionals can be found at Ötzi-the Man from the Glacier.
